Upon realizing how intimate that sounded, Xavia quickly added, “I-I just said that to be polite, so don’t look too much into it!”
Following that, she bolted off, prompting Zivon to smile. The fact that she had said that she would miss him too was already enough to please him…
Shaking his head, he then told the kids to follow their mother into the palace… But before he could leave, he noticed Ian walking toward him. Straightening his tie, he then waited till Ian was close enough before saying, “Please take good care of Xav for the time being…”
Since Ian had already been notified about everything, he simply nodded before replying, “I will, though… Would you prefer if I dealt with Liam instead? I honestly don’t think you need to waste any time with him…”
Lowering his gaze for a bit, Zivon then said, “…That cruel man has been waiting for this moment for two decades, so it’s best not to underestimate him. I have to end things myself, and fast. Only then will Xav’s future be safe… Don’t worry, I can handle this.”
Nodding once more, Ian paused for a moment before adding, “…I won’t interfere as long as you promise me two things. Don’t do anything that can harm you too badly, and remember to tend to your wounds. Deal?”
“Deal.”
After Zivon’s car drove off, Ian sighed before turning to look at Jovan and saying, “Double the defenses around the palace. Until Zivon is done with Liam, no outsiders are allowed to enter. No harm will befall Xavia! …Also, send two guards to protect Zivon from a distance. He mustn’t know about them.”
