“…Though that’s true, she sounds like she has something really serious to talk about… With that said, I don’t think it’s proper to tell her to come over…”
After giving it some thought, Zivon eventually put his documents down before saying, “…Finem on two conditions. Change your location to a coffee shop, and you can only go if I drive you over.”
…Was he her husband or father? Though slightly frustrated, she ended up agreeing to Zivon’s terms…
On their way there, Zivon made sure to tell her everything there was to know about her friendship with Dolly. He also made sure to bring up Dolly’s relationship problems.
Though startled to hear all that, Xavia really appreciated the time he took to make things clear. After all, having some context was always better than having none. Her train of thought was cut short when Zivon gently added, “If there’s anything else you’d like to know about, feel free to ask.”
His words reminded her once more of how exceptional this man was… Honestly, she wouldn’t mind spending an entire afternoon just listening to him describe her past life to her…
Even after she had entered the café, she continued daydreaming about that a little… and in the end, she only snapped out of it when she heard Dolly ask, “…Why do you keep staring into space? Something on your mind?”
Quickly shaking her head, Xavia replied, “J-just taking in the scenery… Anyway, um… You look much thinner than the chubby and cute Dolly that I initially imagined…”
Smiling bitterly in response, Dolly then said, “Well… I did look kind of chubby before this… However, that’s kind of hard to maintain now that Kevin has been torturing me day in and day out… I’m really tempted to get a divorce now, Xavia…”
“…In what way has he been torturing you? Didn’t you agree to marry him because he couldn’t let go of you before this?” asked Xavia who had heard that from Zivon earlier.
