Though any other man would’ve surely wavered a little from her seductiveness, Zivon barely even flinched. After all, he already knew that Xavia hadn’t slept willingly with Cade that night, and even if she had, he would’ve eventually gotten over it since she had truly forgotten that she was married at the time. Hell, putting all that aside, he wasn’t about to just sleep with another woman just to relieve his stress! What did he look like, a playboy?
Retaining his poker face, he eventually replied, “…You’re overthinking things. Xav is only in this mess because I failed to protect her properly, and though it’s true that I haven’t dealt with the media, it’s only because I haven’t gotten over her unwillingness to abort the child. With all these in mind, do you really think I give a damn about Whitney? Hell, she’s probably dead from her cancer by now.”
…For real? She had only been overthinking…? That aside, Whitney was very much alive, but she couldn’t just share that with him…
With that, she took a deep breath before saying, “…Well, putting Whitney aside… You must still be in immense pain after what Miss Frankston did, right…? After all, it’s already been four months since you’ve been able to sexually relieve yourself… Are you really sure you don’t want to reconsider…?”
Watching as she undid her top button, Zivon couldn’t help but squint. Before he could reply, however, the sound of something clanging on the floor could be heard… It was Xavia.
Looking rather pale, it took the woman a while before she was able to awkwardly mutter, “S-sorry for disturbing, I… I just wanted to bring you some dessert, and I… I’ll be leaving first-”
“Hold it right there. Also, leave, Fiona,” interrupted Zivon as he pushed the woman away.
Smirking in response, Fiona replied, “Of course, Brother Zivon. I’ll come again later…”
