As Zayne and Chace went speechless once more, Cade himself found himself experiencing an even rougher time. After all, although he was able to reunite with his family, it barely took an hour for him to realize that his family refused to acknowledge him!

For context, his mother had apparently died from heartbreak after years of depression after losing him, and not wanting the same fate to befall him, his father had gotten married to another woman. Thankfully, things started looking up again once Cade’s father had more children, and they were currently living together as a happy family of four…

Regardless, though his father was overjoyed to see him at the start, his stepmother and siblings didn’t even pretend to like him… and by the end of the hour, he knew that he didn’t belong there.

Eventually, he left and headed to his mother’s grave… And when he saw her monochrome photo on her tombstone, he instantly fell to his knees while saying, “…I’m sorry for coming back so late, Mother… I’m sorry for not being able to care for you as much as you cared for me back then…!”

As his tears continued to fall, a woman dressed fully in black suddenly knelt next to him and began arranging a basket of fruits and flowers before the tomb… and before he could ask who she was, Cade heard her say, “You know, who’s to say that that woman didn’t kill your mother…?”

Understandably startled to hear that, he was just about to turn to look at her when she added, “No need to look at me. You already know who I am. Anyway, I just came over to remind you that as long as you do everything that I’ve told you to, I’ll exact revenge for you, and I’ll also fulfill my parts of the deal. If you fail, however… Well, you already know that you’ll die a horrible death, right? With that said, I believe you already know what you should do now…?”

Upon hearing that, Cade instantly clenched his fists. He had first encountered her shortly after he learned that Xavia apparently had a horrible poison running through her veins… At the time, she had posed herself as a saint, but Cade knew better than to trust her. After all, her sudden appearance and the fact that she knew that Xavia was seriously poisoned was suspicious as hell! Alas, what other choice did he have but to feed the drugs she had provided to Xavia…?
