“Xav!” yelled Zivon as he caught the unconscious woman in his arms. After staring at her for a while, he gritted his teeth before rushing her over to the therapy room…

Thankfully, most of the doctors were still present since they had been busy taking care of Jenna whose health had deteriorated quite a bit after donating her kidney and so much blood. Regardless, upon being updated regarding the situation, the doctors were quick to say, “Not to worry, Young Master Burton. This probably wasn’t caused by the poison, but we’ll run a check-up on her just in case.”

Nodding in response, Zivon then watched as they pushed Xavia into the operating room… and shortly after, all was silent.

It didn’t take long for the worried Ian to come running over… and upon seeing the prince, Zivon sighed before muttering, “…Perhaps I’ve made the wrong decision…”

“…She fainted because you told her the truth?” muttered Ian who already had a feeling that that was the case. Truth be told, he had already been worrying about something like this happening from the moment he saw today’s date on the calendar… Alas, his prediction was right.

Looking at how powerless Zivon appeared, Ian placed his hand over Zivon’s shoulder while consoling, “…Hey, you did what you had to… That aside… she’ll surely be upset for the longest time after this… What do you intend to do about that?”

Earlier when he had initiated the conversation, he had wanted to make up some excuse regarding why he had to be with Whitney for a while, though he had also planned to tell her that he’d make Whitney give up on him in the end… That way, she wouldn’t have to learn that the antidote came from Whitney. Alas, she passed out before he could complete his explanation, and he feared that her health would be in shambles now…

It took him a while, but Zivon eventually replied, “…For now, I’ll have to count on you to care for Xav… Do tell me if anything comes up. I’ll… go have another talk with Whitney.”

Following that, Zivon turned to leave, prompting Ian’s gaze to fall… Only God knew how much he wanted the two to remain together, but… Knowing that whorish woman, there was no way that she would ever let Zivon go…
