Following a subtle pause, Zivon replied, “Sorry, but I really don’t. I’m not too good with things like this, so if you want anything specific next time, just say the word. I’ll get Nathan to buy it for you.”
…What utter bullshit…! Had he not planned that sunflower-themed wedding back then…?! Had he not practiced singing that song for Xavia just for the sake of her wedding…?! There was no way that he wasn’t good at such things! What’s more, he said that he’d get Nathan to buy the gifts for her?! Was she not good enough for him to get them himself…?!
Feeling her rage peak, Whitney retorted, “…Fine…! Since this is how you want to do things, so be it! Be sure to return by half-past eight every night, and once your final four days are up, divorce Xavia and marry me with zero room for negotiation…!”
Following that, she strode up the stairs without even looking back, leaving the glowering Zivon behind… and after a while, he simply headed over to where the study was.
The room itself was brimming with books of all kinds, and compared to a regular library, the shelves were filled with way more options to pick from. That aside, there was also a lounge in there… and this had been where Zivon had been sleeping in the past few nights. Alas, just as he was about to lie down, he saw Whitney walking up to him in a rather revealing negligee…
Squinting at her, he was quick to say, “Get out.”
Unfortunately, Whitney didn’t heed his words. In fact, she boldly stood before him before replying, “I’ll be your wife soon, and since you like to do whatever you like so much, I’ll just do the same!”
“We’ve yet to register our marriage, and you never stated that we needed to sleep together before then!”
