Regardless, Xavia was allowed to leave that day, and though she was worried about explaining the situation, Ian had them covered regarding that aspect. Basically, he told his parents that Zivon had been involved with a large-scale experiment with the National Academy of Sciences, and that Xavia had followed him to ensure that he was always cared for.

Thankfully, his excuse was plausible enough to believe, and upon their return, they were quick to exclaim, “Finally back, I see! We missed you a lot!”

“Indeed! And so have the kids! You have no idea how many times they told us to call you!”

“Daddy! Mommy! You’re finally home! We nearly thought that you had abandoned us!”

“Hugs please!”

Looking at how excited the kids were, Xavia couldn’t help but feel her eyes redden. To think that she had been that close to never seeing her kids again… Thank God that ordeal was over.
