“Thank you… to all of you…! Thank you all so much…!” said Xavia as she attempted to get up and bow.
However, before she could even get off the bed, Ian gently pushed her back down and said, “Hey, you just recovered so try not to move around so much.”
“Indeed! Besides… The one you should be thanking most is Young Master Burton. He was the one who had found the antidote for you!”
It was then that Xavia realized that Zivon wasn’t in the ward… and after a brief pause, she was prompted to ask, “…Speaking of, where is he…?”
Upon hearing that, they were reminded that Zivon had left at around eight… and though the rest had no idea why he had done so, Ian was well aware that Zivon was only abiding by Whitney’s iron fist contract. With that, he was quick to reply, “…He hadn’t been sleeping well in the past few days, so he almost looked ready to collapse earlier. Don’t worry, I was the one who had told him to get some rest for the night. He’s at his home now.”
Feeling rather guilty when she heard that, Xavia then said, “…I see. I’ll just leave him a text saying that I’m now awake, then-”
“Don’t. He… deserves a long rest, and he’ll be sure to come running over if he finds out that you’re all better now… The last thing we need is for him to fall sick next for not sleeping enough…” interrupted Ian who didn’t want Whitney to potentially see the text.
Not suspecting anything, Xavia slowly nodded as she replied, “…Yeah… I guess I’ll just do it later. Make sure none of you tell him too, alright…? Just let him know once he comes over tomorrow morning.”
“Got it. For now… have some liquefied food first. Some doctors will check in on you later to give you a medicine change…”
