“…If I were willing to do that, then I wouldn’t be looking so glum. Anyway, I’ll go meet Xav first… We can discuss this later on…” muttered Zivon before entering Xavia’s ward…
Sitting beside the sleeping woman, he gently stroked her hair before wiping her hands and face with a towel…
Unbeknownst to Zivon, Ian had been staring at him from the door, a clear frown on his face. Before this, the only thing he wanted was to ensure that Xavia would survive… But as they said, humans were never satisfied. After all, not only did he want his sister to remain alive now, but he also wanted her to be able to be happy with Zivon by her side… Regardless, just how was he going to deal with Whitney…?
Meanwhile, deep within the jungle of a remote mountain, Matthew and Mark could be seen resting beneath a large tree. Up till this point, they had yet to find the antidote’s cure, and to make matters worse, Stella had learned about Mark’s efforts!
“So, refusing to call or text me during my long absence wasn’t enough? You had to search for a herb for another woman high up in the mountains as well…?! Whose husband are you?!” roared Stella the second he picked her call up.
Upon hearing that, all Mark could do was remain silent. After all, while it was true that he was willing to do anything for Xavia, the fact remained that Stella was now his wife. It didn’t help that they had already slept together once!
Since he wasn’t replying, Stella was quick to add, “Look, you’re my husband, so stop doing such embarrassing things! Also, you won’t be able to find that herb there, so just come home already! I’ll send a plane over to bring you back!”
Upon hearing that, Mark replied, “Sorry, but I’m not leaving yet. I still have some things to do, so I’ll be hanging up.”
Before Stella could even retort, he had already hung up… and by this point, Stella was so angry that she ended up smashing her phone against the table! Was this the attitude she deserved after fighting year in and year out on the battlefield…?!
With her enraged she was, her trembling friend was quick to say, “C-calm down-”
