After failing to make any real progress, Zivon had left the lab to take a quick smoke… However, as he was walking past the stairs leading to the roof, he heard someone yelling for help.

In the end, his curiosity got the better of him, and it didn’t take long for him to find the donor all tied up in the stream of icy water. After pulling her out, he couldn’t help but notice the slap mark on her cheek, as well as the bruises on her neck. Those alone were enough to make him growl, “…Who the hell did this to you…?!”

She was a key component to keeping Xavia alive! Who had the balls to do this to his wife’s potential savior…?!

As she caught her breath, Jenna couldn’t help herself from enjoying his warmth. She knew that he was only saving her for Xavia’s sake, but… the fact that her beloved man had saved her meant the world to her. It took her a while, but she eventually managed to mutter, “…C-could you let me take a warm shower first…? I’m freezing…”

Though Zivon didn’t usually care about other women, he was able to relate to how cold she was. After all, how could he forget the time when Ian had left him partially submerged in freezing water for hours? Regardless, he simply nodded before bringing her back to his room… and once she was safely in the bathroom, he headed out again to find Nathan since he wanted to get to the bottom of this. To his surprise, however, Ian was already waiting for him at the door.

“I’m the one who did that to her, so there’s no need to meddle, Zivon.”

“…But why?” asked the understandably confused Zivon. Didn’t Ian fully understand how important that woman was to Xavia’s survival?

…Because she was Jenna! However, he couldn’t let Zivon know, so Ian simply replied, “…Just know that she isn’t a good woman, and that it’s best if you distance yourself from her. Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.”

…Though he was still curious, Zivon ultimately told himself that Ian was a rational man who never acted without a good reason. With that, Zivon sighed before saying, “…Got it. Just don’t hurt her to the point where it will affect Xav…”
