It naturally belonged to Zivon, and after gulping slightly, Xavia quickly shook her head before saying, “N-nothing…!”
“Y-yeah, we were just having a simple chat!” added Fiona.
Naturally, Zivon wasn’t about to believe that. Glaring at them, he eventually said, “…Whatever you talked about, it had better not be about me. You should both know by now that I won’t ever marry anyone else. With that said, I hope that you two won’t disappoint me any further!”
Naturally, his statement shocked both of them. To think that he would declare such words without any hesitation…! That aside, though it hurt Xavia to know that anything she now did would only serve to irritate him, her heart ached even more when she heard him say that he wouldn’t ever marry anyone else…
Did that man really prefer being a widower rather than getting betrayed by his loved one…? Then again, they did say that the worst possible pain came from heartache… It was simultaneously heart wrenching and touching for her…
Throughout her way back with him, she remained mostly silent as she thought about Fiona’s initial plan… Basically, Fiona’s plan involved hosting a small gathering with her friends at the hospital tonight. With Xavia’s help, Fiona had been planning to get Zivon drunk… and once that man had blacked out, she would help cover up the two as Fiona slept with him… That way, following her death, Fiona could use her pregnancy to force Zivon to accept responsibility.
Though it was true that that method would prevent her current relationship with Zivon from straining any further, she really didn’t want to make Zivon suffer any more than he already did… And in the end, she clenched her fists before grabbing her phone and secretly typing, ‘Sorry, I can’t help with the plan.’
