Chuckling when he saw how perplexed she looked, Stefan replied, “Long story short, I had some… stomach issues a while back, and Lily made sure to take good care of me throughout that period. She was extremely considerate, and I finally began opening up to her a bit more. More things happened along the way, but the main point is, I’ve truly fallen for her now…”

His tone was extremely gentle, and before Xavia could say a thing, Lily happily wrapped her arms around his right arm as she said, “The hard times are finally over, and we can be happy now too…”

With how lovey-dovey the two were, Xavia chose not to question it. Instead, she was prompted to reply, “…I’m glad to hear… Be sure to be happy forevermore, alright?”

“We will,” said Stefan with a nod before starting to catch up more with both Xavia and Zivon.

It was a while later when Stefan said that he had some things to attend to, and following one final farewell, he walked off with Lily.

Watching as they left, Xavia couldn’t help but sigh with a smile. It was great that they had finally found peace with each other… Hopefully Mark and Stella would learn to get along like that as well…

Unbeknownst to Xavia, the second Stefan got into the car, he instantly went pale as he leaned against the seat.

Feeling immensely worried, Lily was quick to ask, “S-Stefan! Are you alright…?! Just why did you feel the need to push yourself to come over in your current condition…?!”

The truth was, Stefan’s illness had gotten so serious back then that he had almost died. Thankfully, thorough research and funding from the Talton Group were sufficient to keep him alive. However, he had yet to fully recover, and he still needed to recuperate at home most of the time.
