Her train of thought was cut short when Zivon whispered, “See? I told you there was nothing to worry about…”
Upon hearing that, all she could do was nod. With how friendly and kind they were, things were playing out much better than she could’ve ever imagined…
It was about half an hour later when the cars stopped before the palace, and it didn’t take long for several guards and servants to rush out. After forming two rows, they waited for the royal family to step out before bowing respectfully. Though this was already extravagant for Xavia, her jaw dropped when she saw just how beautifully the inside and outside of the house had been decorated.
They said that a mother’s love was the strongest love that could ever exist… and after seeing all that she had done for her, Xavia truly believed that.
She snapped out of it when Yasmin said, “We didn’t really know what you or your children liked, so I simply told our butler to tidy the place up and cook some meals for you… Don’t worry, if anything isn’t to your liking, then just say the word!”
Smiling in response, Xavia replied, “No, everything is perfect…”
“I think so too! This place is as huge as a castle!” exclaimed the adorable Yulia whose cheeks were all puffed up in glee.
“Is… Is this my granddaughter…? My, she looks just like a porcelain doll…! And you’re Maison, correct? This is the first time I’ve seen you up close, and I can safely say that you’re just as adorable! My dears, may I hug you…?” asked the overjoyed Yasmin.
“I’d like a hug too if you don’t mind. After all, you two look like good kids! Don’t worry, we’ll be off to the dining room after this!” added Homer.
Though the two were affectionate, it was clear that they weren’t trying to rush things. After all, the last thing they wanted was for the kids to hate them!
On the contrary, the two loved the kind old couple. However… They also remembered Xavia’s warnings about letting strangers touch them. With that, they meekly turned to look at Xavia.
Smiling at them, Xavia said, “It’s fine to hug them… They’re your grandparents.”
