Unwilling to continue being tormented by guilt, Zivon muttered, “…Xav, that’s enough… Let me deal with it…”

To his dismay, Xavia simply added, “Glad to hear…!”

Upon hearing that, Whitney finally realized why Xavia was being so confident. Xavia was the actual person who had slept with Zivon that night, and she must have realized…! How was she supposed to explain herself?!

Her train of thought was cut short when Xavia added, “You seem rather flustered… What’s wrong…? Worried that everyone will learn the truth?”

Now as pale as a sheet, Whitney retorted, “I-I’d never sleep with another man…! You…!”

Her voice trailed off when she realized that everyone was now staring wide-eyed at her. Fuck. She had just admitted that she hadn’t actually slept with Zivon…! Now extremely anxious, she quickly held onto Zivon’s hand while saying, “I-I didn’t mean to mislead you, Zivon…! But this was the only way for us to be together as a happy family…!
