Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 1798

Before she could even reply, Ian had already slammed the door behind him, leaving her momentarily too speechless to say a word… She had just wanted to make things better… To think that it would make him so angry!

That aside… Was he seriously making her choose between him and Von? When she had finally been able to feel the warmth of a loving family? Women who ran from their families always ended up suffering in TV dramas… And Xavia didn’t like the idea of potentially hurting her family either.

As Xavia made up her mind to continue discussing things tomorrow, Ian himself was already in the study with Jovan.

“Um… Sir Ian…? Don’t you think you’re being a bit too harsh with her…? It won’t do you any good if she comes to hate you, especially after you did so much just to reunite her with the family…”

Naturally, Ian didn’t want to do any of this either, but…

“…I can only hope she’s not stupid enough to get mad at me when I’m clearly doing all this for her own good! Almost everyone from that family wants her dead, so can you imagine how pissed I was when she suggested that we try making amends with them…?! What heinous crimes did I commit in my past life to deserve such a dumb sister?”

…Somehow, Ian was calmer during the administration meeting compared to when he had to deal with his sister… Shaking his head, Jovan replied, “…As they say, those in love are effectively blind… Don’t you think we should consider her point of view, Sir Ian…?”

“Not a chance… I’ll never let her marry Zivon…! Look, just… Force her to meet one of the men we chose for her…” grumbled Ian as he rubbed his temple.

“…Are you sure it’s wise to do that, Sir Ian…? If Young Master Burton finds out-”

“I don’t care if he does…! Drive him mad for all I care…!”

“V-very well, Sir Ian…”

Once the trembling Jovan had run off, Ian sighed before finally getting some rest…

It was early the next morning when he heard a gentle voice say, “Time for breakfast, Ian…”
