Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 1674

“…I was just telling the truth…”

“…Are you not aware that mentioning an older man’s age hurts?”

Following a short pause, Xavia hugged his arm while replying, “Well… to be more exact, you’re not exactly old… You’re mature and secure, and those are what I love most about you.”

Smiling subtly, Zivon then asked, “Feeling a little better…?”

Nodding in response, Xavia then looked out the window as he finally started the car…

By the time they returned to the villa, the kids were fast asleep… but to Zivon’s surprise, Wendy was still awake. Looking at the old woman who was sitting on the couch, Zivon couldn’t help but ask, “Still awake, Mom?”

Getting to her feet, Wendy replied, “But of course! You went out in the middle of the night, and Xavia got so worried that she went out to look for you… It was clear that you two quarreled, and I got so worried that I couldn’t fall asleep…”

…A thirty-year-old man making his mother worry? Now this was new… Shaking his head, he was prompted to reply, “Our relationship is fine, Mom… Go get some rest.”

Still feeling slightly worried, Wendy stared at both of them for a while before ultimately saying, “…Then… When exactly are you two going to host the wedding? I’ll be honest, Jenna’s death reminds me of my other son who passed away… I understand the pain of seeing one’s child die, and… I don’t know, I just hope you two will lead a wonderful and safe life from now on… That’s all I ask for…”

His mother’s words left him speechless. He had only gone out because he was mad at himself for not recognizing Xavia sooner… How had things gotten to this point? Shaking his head, Zivon replied, “…Mom, the funeral just ended, so we shouldn’t talk about this now… Could bring us bad luck, you know? Also, with how outstanding me and my children are, she won’t be leaving anytime soon…”

“My boy, you’re icy, narcissistic, and you barely know how to make women happy… I can assure you that there are plenty of other men out there better than you…”
