It was sometime later when Dr. Rudner walked up to Mark and said, “Xavia’s pregnant with your child, Mark!”

At the time, Mark had been working on his designs, and when he heard what Matthew had to say, he nearly dropped his pencil! Quickly turning around to look at the doctor, Mark replied, “What on earth are you on about?”

Walking closer, Matthew then said, “Xavia’s apparently been pregnant for a month, so it’s only fair to assume that the child was conceived on the night you brought her home! I have to say I’m impressed, Mark! To think that you were able to keep this hidden from me this entire time!”

“But we never did anything! Where did you even hear this from anyway?” retorted Mark.

Raising a slight brow, Matthew replied, “…Xavia asked me about the pregnancy, and she even said that she hadn’t slept with Young Master Burton recently. With that in mind, I came to the conclusion that you had slept with her, and that was what I told her.”

“…You what?! That woman’s as innocent as they come! She’s in love with Young Master Burton, damn it! Are you trying to get her to have a mental breakdown or something?!” roared the infuriated Mark.
