Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 1616

Quickly handing him the pajamas, Xavia said, “Y-you forgot to bring in your pajamas, so I brought them over for you…”

Walking up to her, he then gently patted her head before saying, “Silly… I’m old enough to take care of myself, you know…?”

With that said, he then returned to the bathroom, prompting Xavia to stare at the bathroom door for a while before flopping back on bed. What was that…? While she knew she shouldn’t jump the gun after all they had gone through together, her mind simply wouldn’t sit still until she knew the entire truth. But… Should she really ask about such a thing…? What if it was nothing after all and he called her an overthinker? How frustrating!

It was about twenty minutes later when Zivon finally got out and laid next to her. Though he smelled of fragrant shower gel, his individual scent still overpowered that. A pleasant smell that Xavia had come to love…

However, she was much too preoccupied with her thoughts to even sense his presence, which was why she barely realized that he had said, “Have I told you that Nathan’s selected ten good wedding gown companies? If I haven’t, remember to check the styles tomorrow so that we can choose the best one for us.”

Since she didn’t reply after a while, Zivon added, “…Tired?”

Snapping out of it, Xavia replied, “…H-huh? N-no, I… Um… Don’t you think we’re rushing things a bit…? I’d prefer if we did all this after Jenna’s case is settled… That way, I can ensure that my grandmother can finally rest in peace… That aside, haven’t we already had a wedding ceremony before this? Since we’re going through the same thing anyway, why don’t we just sign the marriage papers and be done with it…?”

Gently patting her head, Zivon then said, “While it’s true that Jenna still can’t be punished, it’s unlikely that she’ll ever escape, so you needn’t worry about her. As for your grandmother… We can head back to S City to pay respect to her before the wedding. Also, that old wedding wasn’t what we wanted, and I refuse to have that be our official one. You deserve a wedding of your own. Don’t worry, you only have to choose what you like. I’ll handle the rest.”

His doting words prompted her to look into his eyes… and from what she could gather, he had meant every word he said. With that in mind… the lipstick mark was most probably just an accident. There was no way he could’ve said all that with a straight face if that wasn’t the case!
