With how hoarse his voice was, it almost seemed like he was a beast that was eager to have a taste of her, and this prompted Xavia’s cheeks to go even redder than before. Unsure of what to even say, she ended up replying, “U-um…! I-I’m ovulating, so maybe we should get some… protection…”
His body stiffening slightly, Zivon then looked straight into her eyes as he said, “I don’t see a problem with having a third child…”
With how gentle and serious he sounded, Xavia couldn’t help but feel slightly touched. After all, in a way, he was promising to be a responsible father… But that was beside the point! She had actually wanted to tell him to be a bit gentler on her!
It took her a while, but she eventually replied, “…Maison and Yulia are still young, and Yulia’s health isn’t optimal either… I don’t think I can handle a third child just yet… Also, it wouldn’t be nice for me to get pregnant before we’re officially married…”
Even though he was barely able to hold himself back, he knew better than to ignore her feelings… However.
“…You said that we didn’t need any back when I suggested that we get some. And here you are, saying that you suddenly want them when I’m just about to eat you up. Are you sure you’re not just trying to delay things?”
Going slightly pale, Xavia shook her head and said, “I-I just realized that I wasn’t ready to have another child! T-to make up for it, why don’t I go buy some for us right now?”
Gently biting her lower lip, Zivon replied, “Just stay here, you bizarre woman… I’ll go get some.”
Watching as he got out of bed, Xavia could tell that he was slightly dissatisfied… but at the same time, she appreciated just how much he was willing to suppress his lust for her. The fact that he could stop himself from going feral meant that he truly loved her, and the thought of that made her heart all fluffy.
Still, that man could be extremely scary when he was jealous, especially when Mark was involved. Then again, if he spent a few days with his first love without her knowledge… Xavia had to admit that she’d be angry as well. In fact, if things didn’t go smoothly, she’d probably ask for a break up!
True, Zivon had been angry, but that was the extent of it… In the end, she was the one who had been impatient and quarreled with him, resulting in him having to apologize to her instead! If their roles had been reversed… No, things probably wouldn’t have gotten to a point where she needed to apologize to him instead.
