After all, the truth could now finally prevail! With that in mind, people from all over gathered at the court to see how the criminal would escape this time.
Jenna herself was left shocked when she heard the news. Xavia was alive? And she had even gone to court?! Had she officially lost it?! After switching the television off in disbelief, Jenna headed over to Facebook… only to realize that Xavia had made an explanation post there.
‘I apologize for everything that happened that night, and I truly hadn’t expected the guards to die because of my actions. As you can imagine, I’ve been living and hiding in fear these past few days. While I could’ve easily chosen to remain hidden, I realized that those who cared for me were having a hard time with my disappearance. What’s more, it hurt to think about how my children were doing back at home.’
‘With all that said, I’m now choosing to admit to my mistakes. Please give me a chance to properly apologize and explain myself,’ concluded the post. Attached to the post, were a few images of Xavia looking extremely pale and battered. In fact, her cheeks had sunken in, and it was clear that she hadn’t been eating well throughout the past few days.
Understanding that, Jenna couldn’t help but smile. As it turned out, Xavia was still clueless that those men had been sent over by her. Why was she going to court then? That idiot! Then again, that bitch had always been a little dim, and she must’ve gone mad from guilt. Since things had come to this, she may as well play along! Besides, after Xavia’s confession at the hospital the other day, it wasn’t like anyone would believe her words anymore!
Meanwhile, Zivon himself had just learned of the news, and after reading through the post, he instantly got up and growled, “Delay the court session. We’re heading over immediately!”
“Very well, Young Master Burton!” replied Nathan as he revved the engine.
On their way there, Zivon couldn’t help but feel extra restless. After all, if a trial was to be conducted, then there was no saving Xavia, regardless of her reasoning! Just what was that girl thinking?! Though… At the very least, it was good to know that she was safe…
It was about twenty minutes later when they arrived at the court. By that point, the judge was already in, alongside several cameramen and individuals whom Zivon didn’t recognize… and sitting before all of their judgmental gazes, was Xavia. She had just been missing for a few days, but Zivon could already see that she had lost quite a bit of weight.
