Looking at the photo, Xavia couldn’t help but frown as she replied, “…True enough, the building is covered in greenery, so that’s probably why the drones haven’t been able to locate the culprit. We need to head in immediately!”
Watching as she bolted forward, Zivon couldn’t help but admire her courage. So this was a mother’s love… In the past, Jenna hadn’t even cared about the fact that Maison couldn’t speak. It made him feel foolish for not being able to see through things sooner. Shaking his head, he quickly caught up to her… and soon enough, they were on the building’s ground floor.
It was then that Xavia received a call… It was another unknown number. Instantly picking up, she was quick to ask, “Where the hell are you? Come out if you want to talk! Don’t you dare bring my kids into this!”
“Hah! Relax, just come to the rooftop and you’ll see those brats! Oh, and by the way, I’ve tied the kids to me, so try not to get the snipers to shoot, or I’ll fall off the building with the kids! As a safety measure, I’ve even tied several explosives to my body, so if the fall won’t kill us the blast sure as hell will! Now hurry up before the kids ‘accidentally’ die!”
Going even paler than before, Xavia exclaimed, “F-fine! We’re coming up so don’t try anything funny!”
Knowing that Zivon had heard it as well, all she could do was look at him. Zivon himself was aware that they didn’t have much of a choice in this situation, so he gave Nathan a call and ordered, “Don’t make a move for now. Just keep your eyes on the rooftop and keep me updated.”
