Since Zivon wasn’t picking up, Xavia couldn’t help but frown slightly as she asked, “…Who’s that?”
Snapping out of it, Zivon quickly picked his phone up while saying, “Just a friend.”
Thankfully, there was a late-night restaurant nearby, so after parking his car by the side of the street, Zivon added, “Head on in first. I’ll follow once I’m done with the call.”
Thinking that it was about work, Xavia simply nodded before heading into the restaurant. Since this place was on the city’s outskirts, there weren’t many people around, and after ordering a simple meal, she found an empty seat and sat there. Fishing her phone out, she was surprised to see her phone in recording mode. It had been on for an hour?! Quickly ending the recording, she then put the speaker close to her ear…
“You’re quite ballsy to bring us here in the dead of night, you know…?”
“Well, my bravery isn’t the only thing that’s ballsy…”
…It had been recording for that long?! She must have accidentally clicked on the record button while squirming around earlier! Not wanting to think any further into it, the blushing woman hurriedly logged into Facebook… and at the very top of her feed, was the incident regarding her parents.
Under the hashtag of, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart gravely injured,’ it was revealed that the unconscious Mr. Lockhart had multiple bone fractures, and there was severe internal bleeding in his brain. Mrs. Lockhart herself had wounds all over her body, and she was currently waiting to receive an emergency blood transfusion.
Outside the ICU ward, Kevin and Jenna could be seen anxiously waiting for them, both looking equally depressed. It was also stated that Kevin had made a police report in hopes that the criminals would be brought to justice. It truly was a heart-wrenching scene…
