...Then again, it wasn’t like they hadn’t slept together before… Besides, he knew she was on her period, so he probably wouldn’t try anything funny, right…?
On the other hand, they rarely ever slept like this… and things were pretty different now too. After all, their relationship was now public, and it was no longer morally incorrect for them to sleep together… Though she hadn’t told him that he was Yulia’s father yet, the fact remained that the children were now together with their official parents…
If only Yulia knew that he was her father, then the girl would surely be overjoyed… Sadly, she still remembered Zivon’s response back then…
‘I’d break up with her and take the child away.’
…She shouldn’t ask for too much. This was enough… Her train of thought was cut short when she heard Zivon say, “What are you thinking about, hmm? Head on over to the bedroom and get the clothes ready. I’ll be carrying the kid over.”
Once Xavia had nodded in response, Zivon carried Yulia to the master bedroom and laid her on the bed before gently saying, “Lie down first, alright? Your mommy and I will join you after we’ve taken our baths. Also, make sure to take good care of her in the meantime, Maison.”
“Don’t worry, Daddy! I will!” declared Maison, prompting Zivon to nod before taking his pajamas and heading to the bathroom in another room…
It was after his bath when he humped into his mother who seemed to be waiting for him… Raising a slight brow, he then asked, “Still not asleep, Mom?”
Nodding in response, she then said, “Well… There’s something I’d like to talk about…”
“Go on,” replied Zivon in a respectful tone. Though they hadn’t been together in over twenty years, they were still tied by blood, and he really wanted to make things up for all that lost time.
Though he had expected something major, he was surprised to hear her say, “Well… While it’s true that I’ve had a blast with Maison and Yulia in the past few days, it pains me to say that I’m incompatible with the big city… I just… Want to do something. Could you look around to see if there are any jobs suitable for me? If there aren’t, would you mind if I returned to the village? Naturally, you and Xavia will always be free to visit, and I can come over too at times…”
