Once Xavia had nodded, Zivon began leading Fiona into the villa…
However, moments before they entered, Fiona looked back for just a split second… And on her face, was the smuggest smirk in history. Naturally, this told Xavia that all that talk about forgiveness had simply been bullshit! That pretentious bitch was clearly still trying her best to show Zivon her good side in her attempt to win his heart!
Thankfully, Zivon hadn’t been charmed by Jenna or Sophia, which meant that the childish Fiona had literally zero chance of wooing him. If she did manage to catch his attention, then Xavia would simply let him go. After all, there was no need for her to be with such a foolish man!
Regardless, it was about five minutes later when Xavia saw Zivon and a smiling Fiona returning. Once they were close enough, she heard Fiona say, “Thanks for applying the medicine for me, Zivon! Also, I really appreciate you forgiving me, Miss Lockhart! I won’t continue disturbing you two, so have fun being lovey-dovey!”
It was clear that she was trying to brag that Zivon had cared for her, and Xavia couldn’t help but subtly roll her eyes. What a childish woman. That aside, had Zivon actually helped her apply the medicine? While she didn’t like being petty, the fact remained that Fiona had hit her yesterday. With that in mind, wasn’t he being a bit too kind to her? Dissatisfied, Xavia ended up remaining mostly silent on their way to the laboratory…
They were halfway there when Zivon’s phone began ringing. It was a call from the lab. After picking up, he was prompted to say, “We’re on our way. No need to make any special arrangements, just resume work as normal. It’s better not to cause a scene, after all. Good, don’t tell anyone else. See you soon.”
Xavia could sense how cheery his tone was, and she couldn’t help but feel annoyed. He was that happy that Fiona had finally ‘turned over a new leaf,’ huh? The fact that she kept thinking about how he had applied medicine for her only served to increase how irked Xavia was. In the end, she got her phone out to check for messages.
