Three words.
They seemed to have magic powers.
Xavia felt as if her feet had taken root. “Young Master, what is it?”
Zivon stood up and he locked his sharp gaze on her body. He looked like a beast that was dormant in the middle of the night, and it felt very dangerous and oppressive.
He parted his lips coldly, “Why did you come here to find me?”
Xavia was very nervous and scared, so she answered truthfully, “I forgot to give you the wedding gift that I bought just now. I already placed it on the chair.”
She pointed at the chair at the side.
It was a big red gift box with a gold stamp and the words, ‘Happy New Marriage’ on it. The ribbon on it, which was even bigger than the gift box itself, was even more old-fashioned and ugly.
Zivon’s face was extremely cold.
Xavia quickly added, “The wedding will be very busy, and I’ll also have to take care of Yulia. I won’t have time to attend the wedding so I will give this gift to you in advance.”
“As for the gift, it is the thought behind the gift that counts. I sincerely wish that the both of you will have a happy marriage, a long and happy life together, and that you will have another child together soon.”
“Well…I’ll go back first.”
After she was done speaking, Xavia smiled brightly and politely before she turned around to leave.
Zivon looked at her calm and indifferent face, and her straightforward actions which made it seem as though she didn’t mind or care about him at all. He felt a surge of irritation in his heart.
“You are so enthusiastic when it comes to Stefan, but you are so cold and indifferent toward me, huh?”
What was he saying?
Xavia stopped in her tracks again as she turned around to look at the man’s cold and handsome face and eyes. “He’s my boyfriend, whereas you are my brother-in-law. So of course there will be a difference.”
Her small voice was very stern as though she was speaking out of a sense of justice. She also blurted out the contrasting words, ‘boyfriend’ and ‘brother-in-law’ very naturally.
Zivon felt a choking sensation in his chest as though he was about to suffocate and couldn’t catch his breath. He raised his hand and grabbed her chin before he pulled her over to him.
He lowered his head and bit her lip hard.
“Ahh! It hurts!” Xavia’s tears were about to fall.
Zivon let go of her. He broke the skin on her pink lips, causing it to bleed, but he simply ignored it.
“What did I warn you the last time we met? You deserve it!”
