The man’s voice was magnetic and soothing, and his warm jacket was filled with his pleasantly unique scent.
Xavia stared at him, dazed. She couldn't believe that he'd appeared right when she needed him the most.
“I’m not okay,” she choked out, then threw herself into his arms, sobbing.
She had almost taken Yulia's life, and Yulia had nearly been defiled by those men…
How could she be okay?
Her crying did not stop. All her fear and despair as well as her joy and relief at being saved was bubbling up in her, and she let it all out.
Zivon’s clothes were drenched in her tears. He exhaled deeply, his heart aching. “I’m sorry, I should have been here earlier. I’ll take you both away from here.”
He gently picked up Xavia and Yulia, and slowly stood up. Both of them weren't heavy, so it was easy for him to carry them.
In the dark cave, the two girls looked like fairies, with Zivon carrying them protectively like a strong knight. The sunlight shone on them, and it looked like a scene from a romantic fantasy movie.
“Who are you?!” Suddenly, someone grabbed Zivon’s ankle. It was one of the criminals, and he had been beaten up badly. There was blood around his mouth and he looked enraged. “Do you know who I am? How dare you do this! If my boss finds out about this, you're done for!”
“Hmph!” Zivon sneered. “I don’t care who your boss is, but he'll definitely pay a terrible price for cultivating a pest like you. Get lost!”
After he had said that, he kicked the man’s abdomen.
“Agh!” There was a loud cracking sound, and the man cried out in pain as he rolled away.
Zivon did not bother about the man, and instead turned to his subordinates. “Take them back. Don’t let any of them escape or die.”
