Naturally, this made Sophia smirk sinisterly. No matter how much Zivon loved Xavia, he wasn’t someone who would just accept having his feelings ignored. The second his love was left unanswered, there’d be no future for his love interest! With that in mind, Sophia knew that all she had to do now was keep things this way. If all went well, then she’d end up becoming the next Mrs. Burton in no time…!
Fast forward to the next morning, Zivon led Sophia and Maison over to an old, rustic courtyard house… And upon seeing the building, he couldn’t help but notice that the patio hadn’t changed at all even after all these years…
As he reminisced about his childhood days, it didn’t take long before a familiar voice called out, “Zivon.”
Looking up, Zivon was greeted by the sight of a white-haired woman… A woman whom he hadn’t met in the longest time. With a plaid top and simple gray pants on, the wrinkly-faced woman honestly looked like a generic farmhand… Even so, an onslaught of memories immediately began playing in Zivon’s mind the second he saw her.
“Please, Mom…! I don’t want to leave…! Please let me stay…!”
“…Be good, Zivon. There’s good food and lots of fun there, and I’m sure your life will be better in no time…”
“N-No…! I want to stay by your side, Mom…! Let go of me! Let me be with my Mom-”
“Enough…!” she yelled as she slapped the young Zivon hard on the cheek…
“Just shut up and leave already…! Don’t you know you’re only making things more troublesome?! You know for a fact that I like Shannon’s father, and I can’t get married with you around!”
