Despite his words, Sophia knew for a fact that Zivon was troubled by the thought. With that, she simply sneered before retorting, “I guess I did say a bit too much…! Let’s just hope that the past doesn’t find a way to catch up!”

Following that, she wriggled free from his grasp before heading off, leaving Zivon glaring at her. That woman really knew how to rub salt onto his wound…! In the end, he simply leaped into the pool again to cool off…

Knowing that there was a high chance that Zivon would’ve seen the news, Nathan had chosen not to return to grab it for fear that his life would be threatened!

Thankfully, he found his chance to return after seeing a post that morning! Knowing that he couldn’t run forever, Nathan mustered up his courage… before walking toward Zivon and saying, “…Young Master Burton… Miss Lockhart and Mark Newman have already made a public announcement that they’re only friends…”

When he heard that, Zivon winced for a brief moment… before slowly swimming back to land. Grabbing the towel that Nathan had handed to him, Zivon icily growled, “Is that so…? Speaking of which, I’m afraid you forgot to report something yesterday… You truly are getting bolder by the day, aren’t you?”

Instantly feeling a chill run down his spine, Nathan immediately exclaimed, “I-I hadn’t meant to…! It’s just, I hadn’t investigated the matter properly yet back then, and my anxiety made me forget to report to you…!”

“So what I’m hearing is that you’ve finally completed your investigation?” growled Zivon, causing Nathan’s legs to tremble in guilt and fear. After all, he had made zero progress…! He had only come over to share Xavia and Mark’s clarification thinking that that would please him…! Alas, why was Zivon remaining this indifferent?!
