Zivon got into the car and glanced at Xavia through the rear-view mirror with a secretive look in his eyes. After that, he started the car and drove to the apartment.
The bachelor's apartment was indeed very quiet.
The lights turned on when Xavia walked in. She sat down on the sofa, looked at the arrogant Zivon and said bluntly, “Young Master Burton, I don’t think I owe you anything, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. As for that private house, it’s a fairly normal contract. You can take it back if you really want it but please give me time to move out.”
Her tone was clear and sharp.
Zivon stared at her intently, then walked over to her. He sat next to her, then placed a hand behind her head and pulled her to him as he kissed her deeply.
“Mmph! What are you doing? Let go of me!” Xavia struggled desperately and hit him hard with both her hands.
However, the man was too strong and did not give her the chance to break free at all.
He only broke the kiss to murmur, “Do you really think it’s that simple when a man asks his girlfriend to come to his apartment to talk about things?”
What did he mean?
“Weren’t you the one who said you wanted to talk and clear things up?!”
Zivon chuckled at her naivety. “Would you have been willing to come back with me if I did not say that?”
Xavia’s jaw dropped. She really did not expect someone as high and mighty as him to use such a dirty tactic! He tricked her into coming back with him just so he could tackle her!
For a while, she did not know how to respond. Should she laugh because he did not want to break up or should she cry because she fell for his trick?
She was very angry. “Swindler! Scumbag! Dog! Let go of me!”
Dog? Zivon smiled in amusement, his eyes darkening as he said, “A dog is very loyal, so I’ll take that as a compliment.”
Compliment?! It was clearly an insult!
