Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 1170

Honestly, Jenna hadn’t anticipated that heart attack to happen. She had only shown all that to Dana to reveal how trashy Xavia really was! Who would’ve thought that her death would be so useful to break the bonds between Sophia and Xavia!

After thinking for a bit, Jenna replied, “I see. Call Sophia over, then, and be sure to tell her that I have some news regarding her mother.”

Nodding in response, Alma then said, “Got it.”

It didn’t take long for Sophia to arrive at the ward, and this time, she chose not to glare at the bedridden Jenna. After all, the fact remained that she had attempted to save her mother back then. Shaking the thought off, Sophia asked, “You wanted to meet?”

From Jenna’s perspective, Sophia seemed less charismatic than usual… Haggard, even. How wonderful! To think that a woman’s death would simultaneously allow her to inflict so much pain to that egoistic Sophia and help her get back at Xavia as well! Jenna truly couldn’t ask for more!

Making sure not to let her joy show, Jenna replied, “Indeed… Well, you see, I saw your mother talking to Xavia not long before she passed away… I’m unsure what they talked about, but when your mother eventually saw me, she seemed rather anxious as she asked me about Xavia’s relationship with Young Master Burton. In response, I simply told her that things were complicated, and that you’d be able to handle things.”

“Following that, she nodded before turning to leave… As I was about to do the same, however, I couldn’t help but overhear her grumble something about Xavia being two-faced…” concluded Jenna, instantly reminding Sophia about that message her mother had sent her…

The one telling her not to be fooled by Xavia. Had Xavia been the cause of the heart attack? What exactly had happened back then?!

Sophia’s train of thought was cut short when Jenna added, “Either way… I think Xavia caused the heart attack by telling something to your mother. Knowing how cunning she is, that’s probably the case. Regardless, your mother may have seen through her tricks, and because she felt deceived, she was prompted to ask me more… Had I known that your mother had a weak heart, I would’ve chosen not to say a thing… I’m really sorry about that…”

“Also, I’m really sorry that I wasn’t able to save her in her final moments… If… If only I had been a bit faster…!” whimpered Jenna as tears began rolling down her cheeks.
