Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 1144

Standing in the middle of the crowd, was a young girl who looked to be around the age of four. While Xavia didn’t know whether the child had separated from her mother in the madness or if her mother was just another crazy fan, she couldn’t stop herself from yelling, “H-Hold it, everyone! Move out of the way!”

Her voice was equal parts loud and commanding, and this made her fans immediately clear a path for her…

Quickly walking over to the child, Xavia then knelt before the girl and wiped her tears away while saying, “Don’t cry… Where’s your mother…?”

Unfortunately for her, her question remained unanswered since the child simply continued to wail… Being a mother herself, Xavia’s heart immediately felt heavy by the sight… and in the end, she got out a pouch of candy that she had bought for Yulia and Maison.

The sweet wrapper was vibrant, to say the least, and it even had cartoon prints all over it. Hoping that it’d work, Xavia then flashed the sweet before the child while adding, “Come now, no more tears… Let’s find your mother and I’ll give you some of this candy, deal…?”

Thankfully, that seemed to work, and soon enough, the child was sniffling as she muttered, “…Mm… Daddy… went to the toilet and told me to wait here for him…”

…So that was the case. Just as Xavia was about to comfort the child, a voice could be heard yelling, “Sally? Sally! What’s wrong?!”

Shortly after, a tall, masked man came running over, and though his face was covered, he still bore an intimidating aura… Still, those eyes… Why did they seem rather familiar to Xavia…? Whatever the case was, all Xavia could do was watch as the worried man embraced his daughter…

It took her a while, but she eventually managed to explain, “…Um… I’m sorry, your daughter was standing here alone, and my fans came running over too quickly… I was worried that she’d get trampled, which is why I ran over to her… That aside… Here, just as I promised, little princess… Your candy! Please don’t cry anymore, alright…?”

Sally, for one, had been eyeing the candy for a while now. Adding that to how gentle Xavia had been, she sniffed one final time before saying, “…I won’t cry… Thank you for the candy…”

Just as the child was about to take the sweet, however, the man put her hand down as he said, “Sally, what did I tell you about accepting gifts from strangers? I’ll get some for you later.”
