Xavia’s heart skipped a beat even though he just asked a simple question indifferently.
“No, no. I’m just afraid that we will be delaying you guys.”
“Don’t worry, Aunt. Daddy is usually free at night.” As Maison spoke, he suddenly thought of something and said, “Aunt, you are the heroine tonight, so are you just going to be dressed like this? It will greatly embarrass Uncle Talton. Hurry up, go and change into another dress. There are many new clothes inside the closet.”
Although Zivon was indifferent towards Jenna emotionally, he was never stingy in terms of material possession.
The closet room was filled with new models of clothing of various styles that a professional dressmaker would deliver every week.
Xavia felt that it would not be that good as that was her elder sister’s clothes. “It’s okay. I’ll just wear this. He won’t mind.”
“Jeez! Men are visual creatures. You have to grab hold of his heart even if he doesn’t mind. Otherwise, what are you going to do if a vixen tries to snatch someone great like Uncle Talton away from you? You will be very pitiful if no one wants you.” After Maison was done speaking, he pulled Xavia upstairs without even waiting for her refusal.
Zivon simply stood still in place with a sullen expression on his handsome face.
Since when did Maison become so concerned about Xavia and Stefan’s affairs? Why hadn’t he seen Maison being so active under ordinary circumstances?
Ten minutes later, Xavia changed her clothes and went downstairs.
She was wearing a pinkish white dress that outlined her perfect figure. Her beauty also revealed the shyness of a young girl. Her soft and silky hair was draped behind her shoulders and her fair porcelain skin was like that of a pearl. She obviously did not do anything but she was really very charming.
“Daddy, does Aunt look good? You have to answer,” Maison asked solemnly.
Zivon averted his gaze and said indifferently, “Ugly, old-fashioned and old.”
He would never admit that she was beautiful.
When Maison heard this, he frowned. “How can that be? I personally chose this for Aunt. I think that it looks beautiful and suits Aunt perfectly. But Daddy is a chauvinist whose taste should be similar to Uncle Talton. Aunt, why don’t we change into another dress instead?”
Xavia really did not want to go through all the trouble. Besides that, she really felt that this dress was pretty good. Zivon was the one who was clearly blind.
She said firmly, “I’m not changing. Your daddy is thirty years old and his mind is as old as he is. It seems he has a problem with appreciating beauty and his taste is very different from young people like us. It’s very normal.”
