Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master novel Chapter 1123

Upon hearing that, the man’s dark pupils fell onto Xavia… He, for one, knew that she’d be present today, and had only wanted to watch her from afar. Never had he expected that something like this would happen to her… With her face as innocent and adorable as ever, the woman in his arms almost seemed more attractive now…

Gently caressing her cheek, the man muttered in a hoarse tone, “…I’ve called a doctor over, Xavia. He’ll be here shortly after.”

The second his sentence ended, a knock could be heard on his car’s window… and shortly after, Matthew entered the car. After giving Xavia a quick look, the doctor couldn’t help but raise a slight brow as he said, “To think that something like this would happen on such an occasion… Don’t worry, she’ll be fine soon.”

Watching as the doctor got a syringe out, the man gently lifted Xavia’s arm. Recalling that she was terrified of injections, he made sure to pat her head while comforting, “Don’t worry, it won’t hurt. Be strong…!”

Though she whined, Xavia made sure to behave… Still… who was this extremely charming person…? For some reason, he seemed even more distressed even though she was the one getting injected… Was this… Mark…? But there was no reason for that man to be here… Her train of thought was cut short when she felt a jab in her arm… and after scrunching her expression for a moment, she eventually passed out.

Now looking even more distressed than before, the man asked, “How long before she wakes up?”

“Approximately ten minutes. I should note, however, that I saw several bodyguards looking for her on my way down. I’m assuming they’re under Young Master Burton, and that they’ll find us soon if we don’t make a move.”

…Young Master Burton? Upon hearing that name, the man couldn’t help but squint. From what he had previously read, that man was an outstanding elite, and more importantly, someone whom Xavia liked. Clenching his fists, he then continued stroking Xavia’s hair as he replied, “…You can take her there. There’s no need to say a thing about me.”

He, for one, didn’t want to cause her any trouble, and now wasn’t the right time anyway.
