Xavia sounded hysterical, like her agitation had reached a peak and she needed to vent.

Zivon did not expect that the obedient kitten from earlier would suddenly morph into a tigress. He stared at her in shock, then his eyes darkened and he said softly, “That’s the right answer. Put on your clothes and come out.”

The right answer? Was he insane?! She was clearly scolding him!

Xavia was frozen in place, stunned. She stared at Zivon’s back as he walked out of the bathroom, unable to comprehend what was going on.

“What's wrong? Do you want me to put on your clothes for you?” The man’s deep voice called out teasingly.

Xavia was so frightened that she immediately shook her head. “No! I’ll put my clothes on right away!”

She quickly wrapped herself in her bath towel and walked over to close the door.

Five minutes later.

Xavia felt apprehensive and uneasy as she entered the bedroom.

She was wearing a simple white nightgown and her black hair was damp—she looked like a delicate and beautiful flower. Her timid behavior also made her seem like a child who had done something wrong and was very much regretting it.

Honestly, Xavia slightly regretted scolding him.

Her anger had been brief and he had not done anything with Sophia, so she should not have brought it up. Also, saying that she would never love him again was a bit too dramatic.

Most importantly, he was still the high and mighty Young Master Burton. She had been rude and impolite, totally challenging his authority.

Keeping all this in mind, Xavia was really afraid right now.

“Come here,” Zivon murmured gently.

In Xavia’s opinion, the gentler he was, the more dangerous he was.

She stood there stubbornly. “I don’t dare to. Just say what you want or how you intend to punish me.”

Zivon raised a brow.

Where was all her courage and fierceness from earlier?

He looked at her meek expression and spoke like he was coaxing a child: “I’m not angry and I’m not going to punish you either. Come here… I want to hug you.”
