Xavia protested, “If there was anything between me and him, I wouldn’t have sent supper to you the next day.”

Zivon did not deny it. “You did not explain anything or show that you were upset. Instead, you were just being distant. What did you think I would assume?”

Xavia looked embarrassed. “I… I was trying to suppress my emotions. I knew that there was nothing between you and her so I did not want to be unreasonable and make a fuss.”

“I already told you that you can tell me anything. Also, isn’t it normal for a girlfriend to throw a tantrum and get jealous?” Zivon’s tone was gentle and understanding, as if he would willingly tolerate any tantrum she threw.
