Hearing her words, the reporters exchanged glances, most of them still looking unwilling to give up. They had come hoping to dig up some sensational scoop about Silvia. But now, it seemed they’d found nothing—and instead, Silvia had managed to throw a few barbed remarks their way.
Off to the side, Yvette noticed the disappointed looks on the reporters’ faces. She let out a dramatic “Oh, come on!” and promptly rolled up her sleeves, fists clenched, looking as if she might start swinging at them. Seeing Yvette’s fierce stance, the reporters decided they’d lingered long enough. There were boundaries, after all—if Silvia decided to press charges, it wouldn’t be worth it.
With that thought, the crowd of journalists scattered, not daring to push their luck any further.
Outside the café, a handful of bystanders had gathered, still unsure what all the fuss was about. Some of them assumed a celebrity must be inside, but after a better look, they realized it was just two strikingly attractive women.
Yvette, noticing the onlookers’ curiosity, lifted her chin and fixed them with a stern glare. “What are you staring at? There’s nothing to see here!” she snapped.
Startled by her outburst, the gawkers quickly dispersed.
Once everyone was gone, Yvette shot Silvia a cautious glance, her tone turning gentle in an attempt at comfort. “Silvia, don’t let those reporters get to you—they’re just stirring up trouble.”
“I won’t,” Silvia replied, honestly unfazed. She didn’t feel upset or angry—in fact, she suspected her answers would soon be exaggerated and sensationalized all over the internet.
After parting ways with Yvette, Silvia returned to Chronos Gardens. She had barely sat down to rest when her phone rang—Yvette again. “Silvia, check online right now!” Yvette urged.
Silvia opened the link Yvette sent her. It was already trending: her recent statements, along with footage of Vianne collapsing on the Ashford family’s doorstep, were being blown wildly out of proportion, spawning all kinds of conspiracy theories.
