The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 875

“And what if I do?” Nathan didn’t deny it, a hint of madness in his voice. “Alexander cares so much about you, doesn’t he? He’s so powerful, so brilliant. I want to see what happens when he can’t find you. I want to see him run around like a cornered animal.”

He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a low snarl. “I’m going to make him feel the pain of losing the one thing he cares about. I’m going to ruin his reputation and take everything from him.”

Danielle looked at his twisted expression. “You’re despicable, Nathan. Do you really think you can threaten Alexander by using me? He will never give in to you.”

“Won’t he?” Nathan’s smile was pure mockery. “We’ll see about that. I’m sure it won’t be long before Alexander is turning this world upside down looking for you. And when he does, he’ll finally understand that he can’t win against me.”

With that, Nathan stood and addressed his bodyguards. “Watch her. Don’t let her out of your sight. If anything happens to her, you’ll answer to me.”

“Yes, sir,” the guards replied in unison.

Nathan walked out, and the door clicked shut, the lock engaging with a final, definitive sound.

Danielle stared at the empty doorway, a wave of despair washing over her. She was trapped on this island, completely cut off from the world, a pawn in Nathan’s cruel game. She went to the window and stared out at the vast, empty sea.

She thought of Niki, of the hopeful look in her daughter’s eyes before she left, of the nanny’s promise to take good care of her.

She thought of Alexander and his fragile health.
