The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 80

After attending the dinner party, all she cared about was retrieving her grandmother's keepsake.

Alexander said nothing. He scanned the dazzling array of dresses, grabbed a floor-length gown at random, and tossed it to her. "Try this on."

The dress was elegant and dignified.

Danielle glanced down at it, completely uninterested in following his orders.

She refused, her voice cold. "No need. Just wrap it up."

She didn't care whether it looked good or not.

"Danielle." Alexander's gaze darkened as he stared at her. "What's gotten into you?"

His patience had its limits.

With Danielle, it was nonexistent.

She met his eyes. "Where's what I asked for?"

Alexander raised his brows. "With that attitude, do you really want it?"

Danielle drew a slow breath, forcing herself to swallow her pride.

If it wasn't for what she wanted, she'd never tolerate this.

She snatched the dress from his hand and headed straight for the fitting room.

Inside the fitting room.

The sales associate in the next stall was speaking loudly.

"Oh! Mrs. Davidson, this dress fits you perfectly."

The attendant's voice rang out in admiration.

Millie paused, then smiled politely. "Really?"

The salesgirl beamed, eager to flatter. "And the butterfly tattoo on your back—it matches Mr. Davidson's on his wrist! A couple's tattoo, right? It's so pretty, you two really are a perfect pair. The detail is just amazing."

Danielle froze, her grip tightening imperceptibly on the dress.

Alexander had a small, nearly invisible blue butterfly tattooed on his wrist. You'd barely notice it unless you looked closely.
