The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 73

Danielle stared at the message on her phone and let out a cold, dismissive laugh.

He was always so protective of Millie, as if the slightest bit of discomfort would break her.

If he didn't message her, she sometimes forgot he was even still in her contacts.

She didn't bother replying. Instead, she swiftly deleted his number and blocked him with one tap.

Since he refused to sign the divorce papers, she saw no reason to keep waiting for his calls or texts. Why let him clog up her life any longer?

Out of sight, out of mind.

After dropping Niki off at home, Danielle went to meet with Attorney Stewart.

Attorney Stewart was a senior partner—rarely did he handle routine divorce cases like this. But since Gian had introduced them, he was happy to make an exception.

They arranged to meet at a private club.

By the time Danielle arrived, Attorney Stewart was already there.

"Sorry for being a bit late," she said.

Attorney Stewart stood up as she approached, offering a warm, polite smile and his hand. "Hello, I'm Conrad Stewart."

He was the picture of poise and old-school charm.

After the handshake, Conrad wasted no time getting to the point.

He was sharp—within just a few sentences, he'd cut straight to the heart of the matter.

"I'll take it from here," he said calmly.

His demeanor was steady and composed, never betraying a flicker of doubt or concern. It was clear he didn't see this as a difficult case.

Seeing how unflappable he was, Danielle finally felt herself relax.

"If there's anything you need from me, just reach out directly," she said.

He nodded. "Of course." Beneath his courteous exterior, there was a subtle reserve—a wall that kept everyone at arm's length.
