The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 174

Leanne was clicking her pen so furiously, Danielle half-expected it to fly apart and hit her in the face.

Was this really a proposal for cooperation, or an attempted takeover of SoarCorp?

They were practically salivating over SoarCorp's latest project plans.

"Is shamelessness some sort of family heirloom for you people?" Danielle scoffed. "How is it that every single one of you is so utterly brazen?"

Leanne's expression darkened.

"I give you an opportunity and this is the thanks I get? Do you even realize how tough things are for your family right now? I'm just trying to help."

"Biting the hand that feeds you—no wonder you people can't catch a break."

Leanne's lips curled into a cold, dismissive smile. "I was actually considering doing you a favor. But if this is how you treat your future benefactor, it's no mystery why Alex wants nothing to do with you."

"What man would bother with a woman so lacking in backbone?"

She continued, her tone icy and mocking.

It didn't matter if it was Leanne now or Orson before—both of them said the same thing.

No wonder you can't keep Alexander's heart.

They all agreed on one thing: she was nothing compared to Millie.

Millie always knew how to win Alexander's attention.

Danielle met her gaze, a sardonic smile flickering on her lips. "And what's the point of keeping a man's heart, exactly? So I can climb the ladder and enjoy some fancy status, all because of a man?"

She had nothing but contempt for their hypocrisy.

They went on and on about being independent women, insisting they never relied on anyone—yet behind closed doors, they were always looking for an easy way up.

"That's called a healthy, mutually beneficial partnership." Leanne shot back. "Why doesn't your husband ever support you, huh? You know as well as I do, you're hopeless."

"You're just like your mother—useless. SoarCorp is doomed in your hands."

Leanne flicked her hair back, face haughty, eyes full of disdain. "Maybe your mom should just divorce your dad and hand over SoarCorp. At least then, there might be a chance to save the company."
