The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 171

Unless you are the greatest resource yourself, everything else is just temporary.

You can help someone for a while, but not for a lifetime. Even if you hand them resources, if they can't hold onto them, everything will eventually fall apart.

Millie took a deep breath, realizing that at times, his decisions could be downright cold.

But thankfully, his coldness never seemed to be aimed at her.

-

Danielle was tending to her mother.

Afterward, she went home to look after Niki, coaxing her to sleep before sitting down at her desk and pulling up SoarCorp's project files.

In truth, the AI medical assistant project had real potential.

Previously, the manufacturing partner they'd courted was poached away by Intellectech and now refused to work with them. Danielle had managed to find a foreign supplier, but they still needed more collaborators.

For a company their size, two or three partners would be ideal. But if they could land a big player, just one would do.

That night, Danielle was busy consolidating SoarCorp's resources and identifying gaps.

The AI medical assistant project was inching forward, but the pace was painfully slow after a break in their funding. Her mother had even mortgaged the house to secure a $2 million bank loan.

But that $2 million could only sustain them for so long.

So within that window, Danielle had to find the right partners.

She sent out emails to every executive she knew in the field, requesting a collaboration.

The next morning, she got up to make breakfast for her mother and Niki, then took Niki to preschool.

Lately, Danielle had noticed that Niki didn't seem eager to go to school. Every morning was a struggle, and today was no different. When they reached the preschool gates, Niki kept glancing back at her, dragging her feet.

Danielle frowned, crouched down to eye level, and asked softly, "What's wrong, honey? Are you unhappy at school? Is someone being mean to you?"

Niki ducked her head, her voice small. "No, it's not that. I'm just a little tired from all the lessons lately."

Danielle studied her daughter. "If anyone ever makes you feel bad, you have to tell Mommy or your teacher, okay?"

She reached up and felt Niki's forehead.

No fever.

Still, she worried. "Are you sure you're not feeling sick anywhere?"
