The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1317

Ella had initially pulled far ahead, but it wasn't long before she heard the rapid thud of hooves closing in behind her.

She glanced over her shoulder, and the color instantly drained from her face.

Danielle, riding the white mare, was actually gaining on her?

Ella's eyes widened in sheer disbelief.

She couldn't fathom how Danielle, a woman who looked so frail and delicate, could possess such masterful riding skills.

Standing by the edge of the track, Gian and Kirsten cheered wildly as the two riders approached.

Kirsten pumped her fists in excitement, screaming at Danielle's back, "Come on, Danielle! Pass her!"

A confident smile graced Danielle's lips. She dug her heels into the horse's flanks once more, and as if spurred on by her determination, the white mare accelerated.

Right before the finish line, Danielle and her white mare surged past, crossing it first.

The crowd erupted into cheers.

Danielle dismounted smoothly, landing on her feet with feather-light grace. There wasn't even a single drop of sweat on her radiant complexion.

Ella halted her horse at the finish line, her face a rigid mask of fury. She stared at Danielle, her eyes brimming with frustration and shock.

She never imagined she would actually lose to the bookworm she had looked down upon the most.

Danielle walked over to Ella, the same tranquil smile resting on her face. "A good race, Ella."

"It seems the people at Ninesky Technologies aren't just good at running experiments in a lab. We hold our own on the track, too."

Ella's face flushed crimson, then turned pale, but she couldn't utter a single word.

She knew she had been thoroughly humiliated today.

Gian and Kirsten hurried over, and Kirsten threw her arms around Danielle. "That was amazing!"

Danielle chuckled and shook her head. Her gaze shifted back to Ella, her voice perfectly even. "Ella, regarding our collaboration, I think it's best we take this back to the conference room and discuss it properly."

"I believe that only a partnership built on true equality and mutual benefit can go the distance."

Ella looked at Danielle, the contempt in her eyes completely gone, replaced by a swirl of complex emotions.

She remained silent for a moment before finally nodding, her voice tight. "Alright."

Meanwhile.

In the passenger seat of a sleek car, Charley held a tablet.

His fingers swiped rapidly across the screen as he reported in a hushed tone, "Mr. Davidson, we just received word. Yesterday, Ella visited Ninesky Technologies and discussed a partnership with Ms. Crawford. They toured the lab, and in the evening, Ms. Crawford took her out to dinner at the equestrian club."

Alexander's grip on the steering wheel tightened, his knuckles turning white.

His eyes remained fixed on the endless stream of traffic ahead, a chilling glint flashing through them. "Oh? And how did the talks go?"
