The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 3

Startled as she stared at Olivia and Adams wrapped in each other's arms, Alexandra ducks around in a corner, peeping at Adams as he runs his hands through Olivia's hair while exploring every corner of her mouth. Feeling a sharp pain in her heart, Alexandra's mouth gapes open, wanting to scream at them but she couldn't, for her heart was in excruciating pain, bleeding as it beats.

Her head hurt along with her eyes triggering the memories that she had fought so hard to believe is a mere nightmare. Everything came rushing into her head, crippling her mind as her screams filled her head. Alexandra shuts her eyes, touching her body, the torturous past of her bones breaking and the sorceress slitting her throat lingers in her mind and she couldn't just fight it anymore so she just let it sail through guiding her along the path of the ugly reality.-

Running her hand through her hair, Alexandra opens her eyes, peeps at Olivia, and Adams breaks away, he gazes into Olivia's eyes with warmth and Olivia gazes back.

"I heard from Bernard that you've been quite disobedient" he runs her index finger on Olivia's cheek

She tilts her head, biting on her lower lips "That depends if you will punish me"

Adams smiles flirtatiously seeing right through her schemes. "What if I choose to?" He smacks her ass and Olivia laughs, Adams tucks a strand of hair behind her ear

"Then I won't stop you, there's just one rule"

"What is it?"

"Don't be gentle" she leans towards his ear, whispering. "You can punish me however you want, whenever you want and wherever you want, I won't stop you"

Adams chuckles, running his hand through her hair. "Better be ready, I won't be lenient tonight"

"Don't be"

Adams brushes his nose against hers, his hot breath fans her face.

Olivia's voice. "I can't wait any longer"

Alexandra clenches her jaw tightly with a lot of things running through her mind and smiles sinisterly. She had forgotten about the mate matching ceremony for a moment since in her past life she had sworn to be Adams's mate, giving up on the Alpha election ceremony while asking all Narcos clan to support Adams; that was how he had emerged as the Alpha. Alexandra had gone around the clan pleading with them to vote for Adams since the Narcos pack was one of the strongest within the territory, she was aware that their support would be a stepping stone for him.

Although Adam had come from a prominent family within the Guerrero Pack, they were no match to the Narcos clan and Adam knew this. He needed Alexandra more than she would ever need him to win the Alpha election but Alexandra didn't care about the position, all she wanted was his love, the undying love he has for her when she was chosen as his mate but all that was gone now since Alexandra has seen right through him and she wasn't going to let herself be played a fool the second time. She was going to be their worst nightmare, giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Pacing back and forward, in thoughts, Alexandra was certain Olivia and Veronica would be plotting something during this ceremony for in the past life, they had let her attend the ceremony since she held the door to Adams's position. Massaging her temple gently, Alexandra sits by the window, a lot of things runs through her mind, deep down she couldn't help but imagine what Veronica and Olivia would be scheming against her since no one had dared enter her bedroom to talk about the ceremony which was something she could still remember happened in the past.

Alexandra could still remember how Olivia and Veronica strolled into her room, speaking to her about the ceremony as if they cared and just like a naive little girl, Alexandra had let her love life for Adams Hawthorn cloud her sense of reasoning but not anymore, she had been a puppet while Adams together with Olivia, Veronica, and Bernard had been the great puppeteer calling the shots whenever they wanted while she dances to the beat of the devil without even realizing it.

But from now onwards, she was going to be the only one beating the drums while watching them burn to ashes and she was going to do it right under their noses just when they least expect it.

A heavy wind begins to blow the curtains causing the lights to flicker menacingly, Alexandra takes slow calculated steps towards the wardrobe, and opens it, accompanied by a slow creeping creak. Alexandra takes out a medium-sized storage chest, and runs her index finger on top, smiling sinisterly, her eyes darken, certain that they would never see it coming.
