The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 120

A smile forms on Alexandra's face and she takes a step towards the door, her feet gently moving closer to the oak wooden door, her heart beating faster. Nathaniel's face strikes through her head causing her to realize that the man she had been by her side all this while was truly her mate and not Adam Hawthorn who she had met through the mate-matching ceremony.

"My Nathaniel" The words plays in her head as she moves out of the room, walking through the hallway with Nathaniel's pictures hanging on both sides of the wall. Her peripheral vision catches a glimpse of the photos and Alexandra wants to stand and look at the pictures but on second thought pushes the feeling aside and continues walking further toward the rooms. Talking to Nathaniel was more important than any picture she could see.

Despite the feeling running through her mind to stop and stare at the portraits, she wouldn't be able to run her index finger on his face like she loves to do when he tries to tease her.

"Looking around as she walks past the rooms trying to find Nathaniel, she catches sight of him through the gaping door, pacing around causing her to smile further.

Moving her feet closer yet calculatedly, Alexandra gawks at him, lost in his eyes. Nathaniel was handsome and irresistible and Alexandra couldn't deny that any longer, he was twice much better than Adam Hawthorn would ever be and despite his physique, Nathaniel wasn't the lady's man. He only had eyes for his mate and takes the mate bond very seriously.

"So handsome" she whispers, pushing the door wide open, Alexandra entered the room only to come in contact with Nathaniel's eyes brimming with anger.

"Hi" she states rather awkwardly

"You should be in bed"

"I don't want to be in bed"

"What do you want from them?"

"I want …" she pauses, not sure if she should continue for the look on his face was nothing like she has ever seen nor imagined.

"What do you want Alexandra? I don't have time for this"

"I want you"

"You're funny" He chuckled, walking towards the bed stand picking up the mug, and taking a sip of his now cold tea.

"What part?"

"Every part Nathaniel Starkov"

"I'm not Nathan –"

Nathaniel quickly throws the mug against the wall and it shatters causing Alexandra to choke on her words.

"Shut your mouth!" He states, enraged.

If Alexandra was a little girl, he wouldn't hesitate to beat her up for turning him into a joke.

"Nathaniel" she whispers with hopes that he would give her a chance to rewrite her wrong then she won't hesitate to tell him the truth. "I'm sorry"

"Sorry" He laughs. "Do you know what that word means?"

"How can you ask me that?"

"Just answer you lying little snake"

"Nathaniel" Alexandra's eyes widened, she knew he was mad at her but Alexandra didn't think he was livid.

"You disgust me" He states with contempt and Alexandra takes a step backward.

"How can you say that to me?"

"What are you that I won't say whatever I am"

"I'm… I'm…" she pauses.

"Let go"

"Shut your mouth and be quiet"

"Let me go, you're hurting me"

"You're hurting me too"

"Nathaniel please" she pleads almost breaking into tears and he loosens his grip around her, turning around. He was mad at her but he hated what he made her do, Alexandra may not have known but she brought out the worst in him even when he tried to control it.

"Please hear me out"

"Go away"

"Nathaniel"

"I said go away!" He yells and she turns around, tears crowd her eyes but she held them in, breaking into tears right before him was not what she wanted.

Of course, he would feel bad and try to engulf her but Alexandra doesn't want his pity, he wants his love and for him to listen to her. For him to look at her in the way he always did that made her heart flutter.

"Nathaniel"

"Get out Alexandra"

Nodding affirmatively, she turns and walks, tears brimming down her cheeks as she leaves, shutting the door behind her. Nathaniel screams out, clenching his jaw, strides towards the wall and begins throwing hard punches against the wall.

"Damn you Alexandraara Guerrero!" He fumes, raging without a doubt that she was leaning against the door listening to him like he wanted it to be. He wanted her to feel the same pain as he did and it was working perfectly
