The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 118

As he locks eyes with her, Nathaniel didn't feel as though he was talking with just her imagination, he felt as though he was talking to Alexandra Guerrero, the woman who had bruised his heart. Glancing back, his eyes fall on Alexandra still lying behind, passed out.

"I'm not her"

"You sure do" He kicks off the engine and continues driving.

"Why would you tell me to throw her out?"

"You said you wanted to forget her"

"If I throw her out then you will be gone as well"

"I'm only here because you want me to so yes I will be gone and so will the woman you want to be yours"

Nathaniel states quickly. "She's not mine! She made that obvious"

"What if there is an explanation for all of this?"

"What sort of stupid explanation?"

"Alexandra hurt you but why will she?"

"Alexandra is a snake" Nathaniel tightens his grip around the steering as her sharp shooting words echo in his head.

"She toyed with me, made a fool of me, that's what she's good at. If there is something I know, is the fact that Alexandra played me and tried to screw me over but good a thing I caught her just when she was plotting to run with Adam Hawthorn"

"Don't you find it suspicious?"

"The only thing I failed to suspect is Alexandra Guerrero, she's such a two-faced lady"

"She's not your girl anymore"

"She isn't. Alexandra choose Adam and no matter how you put it, she betrayed me"

"Did you even trust her?"

"Yes I did maybe too much and that is my greatest regret. She was my weakness"

"I'm sorry but I just think Alexandra wouldn't do any of this without a good reason"

"What reason? Tell me"

"I don't know"

"Exactly you don't and you don't know her as I do"

"I agree that I don't know her but Alexandra isn't what you think she is"

"She's everything I think she is"

"You're angry"

"I have every reason to be" Nathaniel snapped

"Yes you do but don't take it all out on Alexandra without hearing her side of the story"

"I don't want to listen to any more of her lies"

Alexandra scoffs hating when he acts like he couldn't do any wrong.

"How sure are you that she is lying?"

"Because I know her" He blinks his eyes, hating to remember it all. "I looked her in the eyes and I asked her to tell me and she choose him, she told me she wanted Adam Hawthorn, what more do you think I need to hear from her?"

"Perhaps the truth"

"The truth is what she told me, all I want now is for her to disappear after she recovers"

"You always wanted to get close to her, to know more about her and the mysteries surrounding her maybe this is the time"

"The time came rather too late and I have lost what I feel"

"Yes I will be after all, I have already come to accept the fact that she wants Adam and not me"

"Don't play me, I know you won't be alright after you send her off"

"I will be"

"If you would then why didn't you just leave?"

Nathaniel glances at her.

"Why did you stay back at Guerrero's pack when you should have left immediately and most importantly why are you taking her to your pack when you can heal her in the neighboring pack? Is not like you don't have friends there"

Hating to face the truth, Nathaniel gawks at her for a moment, he hasn't seen this side of her. No one has told him the truth when he didn't want to hear only Alexandra Guerrero.

"You're doing this on purpose"

"This is me telling you not to mess this up and put aside your Alpha gene and hear her out"

"You are right, I will never be alright if I send her off to Adam Hawthorn"

"I already know"

"But I will not also be alright if I choose to let her stay by my side as well"

"Decide after talking to her"

Without uttering another word, Nathaniel turns on the music and a slow song begins to play.

"Go away" He mutters and she fades away leaving him to drown in his thoughts.

He had no intention of hearing her out, she hurt him and no matter what she had to say, Nathaniel felt it wasn't a good reason to hurt him the way she did.

Alexandra hurt him in a way he couldn't ever forget and even though it may not have started that day, Nathaniel endured it all with hopes that it will be over once they spend more time together but it didn't happen, instead she ripped his heart out when he never expected it and he wasn't sure if he can ever forgive her for it.
