The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 337

He couldn't imagine how angry and helpless Yvonne must have felt when she learned the truth. Tamara had attempted to kill his sister, yet his father was still shielding the would-be murderer. This led to Yvonne being unable to return to her own home, forced to stay with Leilani...

Although Tamara was currently under house arrest by the family, Fitch and Hackett had been friends for years. Until the investigation was fully concluded, the Sherwoods didn't dare treat Tamara too harshly.

Because of that, they hadn't even confiscated her phone. That meant Tamara could still potentially target Yvonne.

The realization hit him hard. Milford stood up abruptly, his chest heaving with intense emotion. He looked at Leilani, his eyes filled with a mix of anger and deep panic. "Yvonne can't stay out there anymore! Call her right now. Tell her to come home with me today. What if Tamara holds a grudge and tries to hurt her again? She's completely unsafe out there on her own!"

Milford’s throat was tight; he was clearly in a state of extreme anxiety. He looked as if he were facing a formidable enemy.

"Tamara is crazy right now. If she knows Yvonne is with you, she might come after you too. Leilani, just let Yvonne come home with me."

Compared to Milford’s panic, Leilani appeared much calmer. She deliberately pulled out a tissue and wiped the coffee splashes off her hand.

"You want Yvonne to go home with you?" Leilani chuckled as if she had heard a joke. Using the calmest tone possible, she stated a fact Milford couldn't refute. "Do you not understand why Yvonne refuses to go home? Or do you actually think that if you take Yvonne back now, the Sherwood family can protect her? That you can stop her from being bullied by Tamara?"
