The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 336

Milford tried to mumble his way through a vague excuse. "My dad... he has his reasons. The Sherwoods can't move against Tamara just yet."

It was the same old speech. Every time Tamara did something wrong and deserved punishment, the Sloans and the Sherwoods always gave this same excuse.

Leilani naturally assumed that the Sherwoods were planning to protect Tamara again. Her gaze turned cold, and she questioned Milford with righteous indignation. "Did you know that Tamara hired a hitman to kill Yvonne right before your wedding? If you let her run wild like this, aren't you afraid she'll go after your sister again?"

Milford’s head snapped up. "A hitman?"

Leilani let out a cold laugh. "What? You didn't know?"

Milford’s pupils contracted sharply. His hand convulsed, knocking over the coffee cup beside him.

The cup tipped over with a clatter, spilling scalding liquid over the back of his hand, but he didn't even flinch.

"How is that possible..." Milford’s eyes widened in shock.

Before the wedding, Tamara had been running back and forth between the Sloan and Sherwood families. If this was true, what kind of twisted mind did she have to pretend nothing was wrong in front of them? She had even acted the part of the innocent victim to gain their trust.

If Leilani hadn't been there to protect Yvonne that day, causing her to fall to the side... what would have happened to Yvonne?

Realizing this, Milford broke out in a cold sweat.

Leilani watched his shocked reaction and curled her lips in a sarcastic sneer. "What? You don't believe me? Milford, did you think Tamara was as innocent as a saint? That she wouldn't hurt a fly?"
