The Playboy’s Downfall novel Chapter 26

NO ONE dared to talk until they reached the club. “Who owned this club, Zero?” Finally, Becca broke the silence between them.

“Do I look like I know all the shit in the universe?” he answered which makes Isla frown.

Becca rolled her eyes. “You can answer it nicely, you know,” she said, sarcastically. “Come on, Isla. Let’s drink all night,” she uttered and dragged Isla towards the club. They were about to step inside when two bulky bouncers stopped them.

Becca arched her brow and stared at the guy on her left.

“I.D please—”

“They’re with me,” a deep voice came from their behind and the bouncers parted, letting them enter.

Becca rolled her eyes and dragged Isla again.

“Stop being stubborn, Becca,” Zero warned when they successfully entered.

“I’m not. You’re being meanie,” she complained and stomped her feet then left Isla as she walked towards the bar.

Isla heaved a deep sigh. “Becca’s like that.”

Zero put his hands inside his pocket and nodded. “I know. Hope you’re not like that,” he uttered which makes her frown.

“Huh? I… I’m not,” she stuttered and looked at the crowd dancing on the dance floor.

“Becca is a bratty kid and I think you’re like her too—”

“Excuse me?” She arched her brow as she glanced at him. “Are you judging me? I think you and Becca have the same behavior,” she uttered and gritted her teeth.

“I loved sex and get fun with it while Becca doesn’t want that—”

“Why did sex gets involved with the topic?”

Zero smirked and shrugged his shoulders. He arched his brow towards her and walked his way to the bar.

Isla heaved a deep sigh before she followed.

“Find a VIP seat, Zero. I want to drink more of this,” Becca said as she raised the bottle of beer.

“Don’t make me babysit you, Becca. I will tell aunt what you’re doing,” Zero warned which makes Becca pout her lips.

“Killjoy!” she uttered and drink in her glass again.

“Just find a seat for us, Zero. Don’t worry, I will look for this bitch if she gets drunk,” she uttered.

Zero’s forehead creased. After a while, he called the bartender. “A couch, upstairs,” he said and went down from the leather stool and walked his way to the second floor of the bar.

Becca smiled widely and exclaimed, “Yes!”

Isla slapped her.

“What?” Becca complained.

“You’re pissing him off,” she uttered.

Becca smiled. “We’re like that. Get used to it,” she replied and winked at her.

When they get upstairs, Zero ordered two buckets of beer. Isla only grabbed one and that was enough for her. She’s not into alcoholic drinks. Apollo doesn’t want her to get used to its taste.

She looked at the bottle she was holding and she didn’t even consume half of it. While the two, Becca and Zero already drink four?

She pressed her lips and leaned on the couch. She got startled when Zero nudge her left leg, gently.

She glared at him and jerk her head in Becca’s direction to warn him.

Zero just nodded and smiled.

“Don’t flirt in front of me, Zero, and Isla,” Becca asserted as she opened one bottle again.

After that, no one talked until Isla badly wanted to see the restroom—she needs to pee.

“Hey, Zero, accompany my best friend. I’m too lazy to—” Becca didn’t finish her words when Zero stood up and started to walk away.

Becca winked at Isla which only makes the latter shake her head in disbelief.

She walked fast to catch up with Zero and she wouldn’t be surprised when she saw how women adore the walking Adonis in front of them. If only she has the right to claim him as her boyfriend, then no one will dare to flirt with him.

She watched how Zero smiled and even clasped one of the women’s breasts which angered her and walked ahead of him. She even nudged him intentionally.

What’s wrong with you, Isla? She asked herself. You acted like you’re jealous—she shook her head.

I have no right to get jealous, she thought and turned to the left as she saw the direction to the restroom. She pushed the door and went in. She was about to close it when Zero pressed his hand into the door and entered.

“What are you doing—”

She didn’t finish her words when Zero claimed her lips.
