The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1876

"Wh-what?" Hearing Charlotte's words, the smile froze on Wallace's face. He looked at Vinson in disbelief, whose face had completely lost its color. "What does she mean?"

Charlotte relaxed her posture, shifting closer to Anthony with a wicked smirk. "Before my identity was revealed, I ran into Vinson at The Cabinda University. He told me that people with my qualifications were a dime a dozen. He also said that The Cabinda University's traditional medicine class had already negotiated a partnership with Asclepius. As for me... I wasn't worthy of stepping foot on their campus."

Wallace leaped to his feet. He glared furiously at the cowering Vinson, swallowing the string of curses that threatened to spill from his lips. "Vinson, what the hell is going on?" he demanded, his voice trembling with barely contained rage.

"I..." Under Charlotte's watchful eye, Vinson didn't dare lie. He looked thoroughly ashamed. "I was completely blind. I wasn't thinking straight when I said those things."

"Asclepius..." Vinson gathered his courage to face Charlotte. He lowered his head, offering a desperately sincere apology. "Everything that happened before was my fault. Please, be the bigger person and forgive me."

Charlotte gave a faint, mocking smile, her expression remaining ice-cold. "Unfortunately for you, I have every intention of holding a grudge."

Vinson's heart seized in his chest. He didn't dare utter another word.

"I'm tired," Charlotte announced. She gave Vinson one last, piercing look before lazily withdrawing her gaze and sitting up straight.

"Alright." Anthony immediately stood up. He grabbed her coat from the seat next to him and draped it gently over her shoulders.

"You need to give me a proper explanation regarding Vinson," Charlotte said smoothly, brushing off her clothes. "Otherwise, you can forget about me being a mentor for the traditional medicine class."

"Hans, get the car ready," Anthony ordered the moment Charlotte finished speaking. He took her hand firmly in his. "Gentlemen, we're leaving."
