Adela really had some guts, trying to pull a stunt with Kenneth of all people. Poor Emily had spent the whole night drinking her problems away and was still knocked out, fast asleep. Meanwhile, inside Apex Mediaworks, chaos was already brewing. Maybe, just maybe, Emily would wake up to some good news for once.
Apex Mediaworks.
Kenneth pulled up out front and parked. As soon as he stepped out, his phone lit up with a message.
Lottie: ?
Kenneth: I can see perfectly fine.
Lottie: Oh, couldn’t tell.
Kenneth: ...
Lottie: Handle this—and do it quick.
Kenneth: Worried about me? Relax. I’ve dealt with way worse.
On the other side, Charlotte just stared at her phone, then glanced at Anthony and let out a heavy sigh. “Looks like what you said last time was spot on.”
Anthony grinned, reaching out to brush a hand against her cheek. “First, we need to find out how Kenneth really feels. Love isn’t something we can meddle in. If he’s not into Emily, then so be it.”
